“Imperfection is beauty madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring” Marilyn Monroe. I like this quote because its true on many levels and you see it in everyday life, especially in a high school setting. To me imperfection is beauty because it makes you unique and your own person, madness is genius because it pushes you to many different levels, and being ridiculous is much more fun than being boring!

Many people tend to think that imperfection and madness should be frowned upon. Yet why frown upon something that makes you stand out something that makes you you? Without imperfections we would all be the same. We would all think the same, look the same, dress the same. Things would be bland and boring with nothing interesting to inspire us. While some of us look at something and see an imperfection others see something unique and different. For example while Pablo Picasso was painting pictures of distorted pictures others where painting life like portraits. Yet who was remembered? At the moment Picasso’s art seemed to be outrages and disturbing, but now he is one of the most well-known artist.

Others also believe that madness is something that shouldn’t be accepted in society. Yet madness can lead us to new amazing things. For example look at the Write brothers, they where the first to create an aircraft, but imagine how many people thought they had absolutely gone mad. There experiment must have looked like a death trap to many at first. Now aircrafts are nothing new to us thanks to them.

Of course society thinks ridiculous individuals should be locked up an put away but imagine only having those boring friends that don’t have much to say and aren’t willing to live life every now and them. Ridiculous people make things fun and interesting without these types of people we would live in a bland world.
